sighting: A friend and I were looking for a place to camp. We had been cruising logging roads for the "perfect
place" . It was summer, the tempature a good 70+ that night, not a cloud in the sky. We never saw anyone up
there, thus making it an "awesome " camping spot. We both decided not to camp there because we felt this
unusual feeling that we were "being watched". As we drove down the mountain something occured. It's hard
to describe, but my best description would be that of a explosion type flash, the light being so bright, like nothing
we hasd ever experienced. We ruled out "Heat lighning" because it was at ground level on the other side
of some trees and rising upwards. It lit the area up brighter than daylight, and lasted , I'd say no more than
a second. We both were dumbfounded! My friend looked at me and said, "Let's get the hell outta here"
which we did. We just talked about this event the other day, still mystified. Anyone camping at the top of Bluett
pass in august of 94 who might have experienced this phenomenon, please fill me in!
