Name :annonymous
Location: Menomonie Wisconsin
Date_of_Sighting: 10/31/99
Time_of_Sighting: 5:15
Sighting:
I was driving west on highway 29 between Chippewa Falls and
Menomonie Wisconsin. I observed in the sky what appeared to
be a sliver of the moon above the sunset at 5:15 pm. As I
drove closer, I could see a second identical object to the
north of the first. Both were an orange color, slightly
brighter than the sunset skyline and both were on about a
15-20 degree angle with the horizon. As I drove closer, I
could see a third object, the same size, but almost parallel
with the horizon. The closer I got to the first object,
the dimmer it became. Within about 10 minutes from when I
first saw the object, they had all dissappeared, about ten
seconds apart. Cars were pulled over observing the sight.
Whatever they were, they did not appear to move. They
seemed to be, from my judgement, above Menomonie, but they
could have been even farther off over Minnesota. This is
not the first sighting from Menomonie. About a month ago,
a man saw three hovering lights in the sky, reported it to
the local police, and it is documented that the officer saw
and described these lights as something he has never seen
before.
