Sighting:
It was the annual meteor showers. My wife and I were out on our deck
looking for shooting stars. When I noticed a bright falling star in
the eastern sky, calling my wife's attention to it. It looked as if
it was heading right at us,getting brighter as it came closer. Then
all of the sudden it turned to the south, dimed some what and
traveled for a short distance before vanishing into the night sky.
This isn't the first sighting I have seen.
A couple months before,I incountered a strange experience.
Our new house has sky lights in it,one night while in the kitchen a
bright blue light shined through the skylight illuminating the
kitchen, yard and woods behind the house. Just as I went to open the
back door to see what was out side the light disappeared. We have
lived here under two years and have seen other strange lights and
objects in the area. Just the other morning I was coming home from
work about a mile away. I noticed a dull silver metalic object in
the western sky.
At first it was traveling north at a high rate of speed, then turned
northeast gaining speed before disappearing. It was oblong and
didn't reflect the morning sun like an airplane or jet would. I
haven't see anything to date that has traveled as fast as it did.
