I went to bed and was trying to go to sleep but was aware of some 
bright light.  I thought it was a star as it was a clear night.  
I opened my eyes and sure enough there was what I thought was a 
bright star, then I realized that the 'star' had colour to it.  I 
went and got my binocculars and saw that the thing in the sky was 
not a star but it was moving, it seemed to be moving away from me.  
The lights were very bright - blue, red and white that were 
slightly flashing sometimes brighter and sometimes like the object 
has turned to face another direction.  After about half an hour it 
had got smaller because it had moved further away but then changed 
direction and moved towards the east.  I watched it again for 
another half hour and then lost sight of it behind some trees.  
There was another much smaller object in the sky to the right of 
this one with the same colours to it.  That could have been a 
reflection of the one I saw or it could have been another object, I 
don't know but I do know that this was not an aeroplane or anything 
else that we usually see in the sky.  My mother has just reported 
to me that she had seen a dark brown dot in the sky earlier in the 
day about 2oc in the afternoon, that seemed to be moving and then 
seemed to stop.  Maybe it was the same object?
