time: 10:00 pm.
sighting: I was travelling to Dallas on a business trip and was between Longview and Tyler, Texas. I had a flat
tire and my tire iron did not fit properly as I went to change my tire. A truck driver stopped to assist me and
as we were working on the tire I became aware of an object about the distance of a football field-possibly 100
yards away from me in the dark. There appeared to be people moving about the object in white colored clothing.
The object had a circular appearance and emitted an occassional light more like a strobe flashing at 10 to 15 second
intervals. I asked the driver of the truck what he thought it was. He admitted he had been on this road for several
years and had never seen anything quite like that. He crossed over the road to take a better look. I told him perhaps
we should not get involved. He said it was unlike anything he had ever seen and wanted to get a closer look. A
moment later he ran up to the car and said we had to get out of there fast. I had never seen that kind of fear
on a man's face before. I didn't even question it. I left my car and everything else on the road. We got into his
truck and began speeding away as fast as we could. Just as we got our speed up the object passed over us. There
was no noise only a quick strobe light flash on the underside of the object. It passed off to the right side of
the truck and we watched it until it was gone. Only one other vehicle on the road saw it. He ran his car off the
side of the road and then he sped toward Longview. When we got to Tyler I told him we should call the police. He
didn't want to report it because he was afraid he would lose his job and he didn't want the ridicule that goes
with making such a report. I told some of my friends and they told me just to forget it. I can't forget what we
all saw that night. I looked in the newspapers and kept waiting for someone else to come forward and no one did.
All I have is a story and absolutely like everyone else I have no proof it even happened. I understand more now
why these things go unreported. I hope I never see another object like what we saw that night.
