sighting: On a Saturday night in mid-August, I was park in my truck, the windows open, waiting for a friend,
when I noticed a "missing man" formation of aircraft flying north to south towards Kirtland Air Force
Base, about 3 miles south. Not unusual in this area and familiar to me as I have been in the Marines and served
in many military ceremonies. As they flight drew closer I noticed the shapes were odd until I saw that they were
distinctly circular when they were over head. I saw they were about the size of a quarter at arm's length and gray
in color. The shading indicated they were the stereotypical disc in shape and brush or flat finish so that they
did not reflect light well as a polished surface would. They flew at about the same speed as landing aircraft would.
The night sky was absolutely clear with bright stars, no moon and no clouds. I have been reluctant to state the
experience as I was ridiculed by my friends when I told them of my sighting. I am a retired police officer and
psych- therapist and was in 3rd Marine Division G2 in the 60's. I am not a fanatic and am not prone to drawing
attention to myself. My sighting was real and I am convinced these were not ordinary aircraft. In Albuquerque we
see a lot of aircraft and these were not "ordinary".
