sighting: While riding a rural country road with three members of my family, I noticed a bright red stationary
light a couple of hundred feet above a house. I was very familiar with this route and knew that there had not been
a tower or light there previously. I watched in amazement when I realized that it was actually too high to be a
radio tower. I asked the driver to pull over and we got out of the car to look at the light. There was no visible
silhouette and absolutely no sound. Suddenly the light began moving toward a mountain ridge. We got back in the
car and followed in the direction of the light. The light suddenly speeded up and at full speed made an instantaneous
change of course at an impossible angle. It then vanished out of site at an incredible rate of speed. During this
same time period numerous local residents reported unusual lights in the sky.
