sighting: I could only see with binoculars but my daughter, 23, did notice it first with her naked eye. We were
looking for the H.Bopp when something like a star caught our eye. The star moved up and down and then across very
fast. It repeated these maneuvers constantly. We then spotted another one which seemed to be traveling toward the
first one we noticed. They never got too close but eventually headed towards the comet. We were at a park and hurried
home so I could get others to look at this strange event. When we returned we could not find either of the "stars."
No one came back with us. They thought we were fooling (and the basketball game was on TV) I called the two a star
because they were that small and not to many real stars had shown up yet. I was wondering if anyone else looking
for the comet that night noticed the same thing we did.
