Sighting:
Five co-workers and I observed an object orange in color with
yellow glowing lights on the side with a long red tail of flame
trailing behind it.
There didn't seem to be any particular shape to it. I had the
impression that it might be entirely engulfed in flame. It was
traveling from the northwest toward the east at first but
began to turn graduately toward the southeast as it got past
our position and nearer to the horizon. It never lost altitude
the entire minute and a half it took to disappear over the
horizon . It was at a 50 degree angle in the sky from us and
it must had been large and very high up. I have never seen
anything like it in my life and I have observed the heavens
closely whenever I got a chance to for many years. It couldn't
have a plane in trouble or a meteor or even an astroid for it
would have gone down and in a tight curve toward the earth. By
the way. The same object was observed in four other states
with last seen in Florida where it was tracked on radar by an
airforce base. They scrammbled fighters after it but were
forced to land because of damaged recieved on three of their
fighters. No explaination was given. They said it was a soviet
sattillite burning up... over four states?!!
Yeah, right!! We observed it from in front of the physical
science building on the north side on the campus of the
University of Oklahoma.
