It was submitted by () on Wednesday, March 4, 1998 at 22:02:08 location: canastota n.y.usa date: 8/7/97 time: 12:30 a.m. sighting: Our teenage son burst through our front door yelling that there were strange lights hovering in the valley over the eastern end of Oneida Lake. We were skeptical until we viewed the strange set of lights for ourselves. We reside in the country on a hill that overlooks the entire lake and the set of seven yellow flare-like lights were in a narrow v-pattern . I grabbed my camera and took several pictures as excited as I was and one turned out clearly. We have not contacted anyone to see if we were alone in this sighting or if what seemed to simply disapear had any other explaination .
