sighting: My family had heard several loud bangs during the course of the evening. At about 1:30 am I heard
another "odd" bang and went to look out our patio door. At the 11 o'clock position in the eastern night
sky I saw what looked like a large silver sphere with a black round marking on the bottom. There were no lights
eminating from it, it was illuminated by the lights of the street. There are several auto dealerships around and
at first thought that this might be a balloon from one of the dealerships. It moved silently towards the South-East
at about 60 mph on a straight course. I ruled out that it was a meteorite since there was no trail behind it and
I have seen many larger ones before.
