It was submitted by () on Saturday, May 30, 1998 at 02:33:49 location: Castle Rock date: Summer of 1995 time: 11:00PM sighting: My friend and I were using my telescope to look at some stars on my deck in my back yard. About 45 minutes after we first went outside we decided to go inside. When I started to walk in the door, my friend yelled "Woah! Look!" I turned around and caught a glimpse of a bright glowing green object falling to the west over the mountains. When it went over the mountains, the sky surrounding the area was lit bright green. I didn't see the whole event, my friend did. He said it went right over my house. It was probably one or two thousand feet high. He said it was about 1/2 the size of a full moon, not actual size just visual. I guess it was as big as a quarter if you held it out at arms length. We don't know if it was a meteor or a true UFO. I want to believe.
