Subject: UFOSNMW REPORT FORM Date: Thu, 28 Dec 2000 19:48:27 +0000 From: unknown@unknown (unknown) To: ufosnw@rt66.com Name: Mac Location: Northern New Mexico Date_of_Sighting: November 1998 Time_of_Sighting: 11:45 P.M. Sighting: My friend and I were out in the Manzano Mountains southeast of Albuquerque, NM to observe the Leonid meteor showers. As we looked up at the night sky, I noticed a light to the east. The light grew brighter as if it were getting closer but there was no noise associated with it. It got closer and closer and I kept expecting to hear some noise because I thought it was a low flying plane but there was no noise, until it got nearly overhead. At that point I could hear a noise as if something was moving very rapidly through the air, and could make out a black silhoutte against the starry sky. It flew past and beyond a nearby mountain peak. At the time I surmised it was probably a stealth fighter, and it could have been I suppose. I do not know how quiet the engines are on the stealth fighters, but this UFO was very quiet, and it's silhoutte was not recognizable to me. |
