Sighting:
i'm not sure when but it was between 1980 and 1983, i was on 
my way home when at about 10pm.
i heard a rumbling in the sky and thought it was a very low 
plane so i looked up and saw that it wasn't.
it was a large black object that looked like this:

it was close enough for me to see the ridges and lights that 
looked like little pin holes.
it was also heading north which meant it must have passed over 
the whole of london as i live in north london.
