It was submitted by () on Thursday, March 5, 1998 at 00:52:09 location: Towcester, Northampton England UK date: 1/1/98-Regular time: Approx 10.00 sighting: It started one night around new years eve, me and some friends were coming back from a party in Milton Keynes. I was driving, heading down the A5 one of my firends said, look at that star its changing colour. I pulled over and we watched for around 30 mins. At this point the star turned deep red/orange colour and moved east very fast, as an aircraft approached it. Once clear the object moved back to the starting position and shot off north. We had the comparision of the aircrafts speed and this object was much quicker. What appears to be a similar object can now be seen on most clear nights, as you look from Towcester to Milton Keynes. It just looks like a star that changes colour, mainly Red orange green blue and purple. Both me and my fiance have watched it several times, and it is now normal to see it dissapear. Also a few months ago there were extremly bright flashes of coloured light that were visable from Daventry, Towcester Milton Keynes (by the Point).
