To: artesia@usa.net From: Submitted-Sightings@caverns.com Subject: Submitted UFO Sighting Report LOCATION : Waterbury, Connecticut, USA DATE-Sighting : summer 80 or 81 TIME-Sighting : 11:30 p.m. This is your Submitted Sighting Report : One night during the summer of 1980 or 1981 we went out the door and saw a HUGE [big as a football field] round disc-shaped object directly over my house and the other houses in the area. It had lights around the rim, was totally silent and hovered. It moved, slowly at first and then rapidly disappearing. The local newspaper had over 800 phone calls, as it appeared over a drive-in movie theater. The paper called it an "advertising balloon" from Bob's Surplus Stores. I will never forget the sight of that thing.
