sighting: It was night time, and my friend and I were aboard a short cruise on the St. Lawerence with the rest of my classmates. We were on the way back (the boat had just turned around) and we looked to the top of the hills, buildings, whatever, and saw a glowing orangey-yellow sphere slowly rising into the air. It was round, and I remembered it not as fuzzy, but more defined. It did not glow(shedding light on its surroundings) but gave off no light except for itself. We watched it until we could see it no more. At first we assumed it was some sort of air craft or novelty design, but it moved too slow to be an air craft, and moved beside the building, and detached itself a while later before rising to the sky. I hope you can figure out what I saw because I really like to know.
