sighting: I was walking to my car in the parking lot at work on my way home. It was late but I was'nt tired.
When I got in my vehicle I stared into the Northwest sky to see where the Hale Bopp Comet was because I could see
a bright light in that direction. I took another look and noticed that the sky was cloudy. Then the light which
I thought to be the comet grew larger and seemed to be in motion. Suddenly it shot across the sky in my direction.
This made me nervous so I turned the key in the ignition. Though I knew I had just gotten a tuneup my car would
not start. Soon the light was directly over my car maybe less then 100 feet above me. Outside the usually well
lit parking area and buildings had turned completely black. The only source of light came from the object above
me. For a few minutes I felt a strange closeness and pressure building in my ears like flying in a plane to a higher
altitude. Then my ears popped. The light was gone and everything went back to normal.
