Subject: Submitted UFO Sighting Report
LOCATION : Between Kansas City and Dallas (in the air)
DATE-Sighting : June 27, 1996
TIME-Sighting : apx 9:30 am
This is your Submitted Sighting Report : 
I was flying on an American Airline jet from Dallas/FtWorth 
Airport to Kansas City.  We were about two hundred miles south 
of Kansas City, a large thunderstorm was to our east with a lot 
of ground cover.  I was on a window seat on the right side of 
the plane.  I looked down on the cloud cover and saw an object 
moving just above the floor of clouds below us.  I first thought 
is was the scratches in the window glass reflecting as my head 
moved, I held my head steady and noticed it still moved.  It 
appeared to be a circular object moving at an unbelievable speed.  
The object was highly reflective, much like mercury or brilliant 
silver. As it moved along the clouds I could see it go in and out 
of the tops of the clouds.  I watched it and heard the man in 
front of me state, "what the f--- is that?.  I told him, "you saw 
it, too?.  When the object approched the "thunder head" of the 
storm ( I would estimate at least 10-15 miles away) it made a 90 
degree turn upwards and scaled the top of the storm in apx. one 
second, The storm was above our height, and we were flying at 
30,000 feet.  Another lady said she saw it too.  This event, 
overall, took only about five seconds.
I am a Systems Analyst and have never believed in UFO's until 
this incident.  My father was in the aerospace field and have
been a keen fan of planes and have a large amount of knowlege on 
aircraft, I have no doubt this plane was not of this world or 
our time.  It' appearance almost seemed liquid.
