name: Anon.
location: South Western Victoria, Australia
date: Early July, 1990
time: 1.30pm
sighting: I was fishing alone on a remote beach about 15kms east of Nelson, Victoria. It was the middle of winter,
but a relatively mild day with little wind, and overcast. I was re-baiting my line at the water's edge when the
seagulls nearby all took off and flew past me. As I turned to look, I saw this big triangular shaped thing flying
across the beach, about 30 metres above the ground. It totally freaked me out (I was alone, in the middle of nowhere,
miles away from the nearest main road). It was like an equilateral triangle, flat on the bottom (and top, I think
- I couldn't see the top of it), sort of like a child's triangular building block. It was utterly featureless,
dark graphite grey, and made no sound whatsoever. It was moving at about jogging speed, travelling diagonally across
the beach about 100 metres from me. I guess it must have flown in from behind the sand dunes, but I only saw it
as it crossed the beach. I just stood there, watching it as it slowly flew out to sea. I watched it for about 10
minutes before I lost sight of it in the haze over the ocean. Then I packed up and got the hell out of there....
I didn't want to find out if there were any more of those things around! I have no idea what it was. I don't really
believe in aliens flying around, but I do know that I cannot explain what I saw that day. I have never told this
to anyone before, because I reckon that no-one would ever believe me anyway.... It's up to your own discretion
to believe me or not....
Just another thing, I noticed a rumbling noise like thunder not long before I saw this thing. It thought it was
unusual, because the clouds that day did not look thundery. Whether this had anything or not to do with the thing
I sighted is anybody's guess.
Thank you for your time.
