It was submitted by () on Monday, March 9, 1998 at 03:46:57 location: Jamesport, L.I. date: Aug. 1996 time: midnight sighting: My wife and I and another couple were sitting on lawn chairs on the great peconic bay, watching the annual Persied meteors. My wifes friend said she had never seen a satellite, so we were paying particular attention, to the sky. At approximately midnight, My wife said" there's one..no two..THREE!" There were three objects, moving very high..Satellite height, and very fast, in triangular formation. they were moving west to east. The lead object suddenly accelarated at a high level of speed...a high level of speed. The two others followed. I know what military aircraft look like at night. I know what satelittes look like a night, and I also know things flying that high, don't suddenly accelorate, that fast.. anybody else see that Zamgwar@aol.com
