location: Athens Tn. USA
date: March 1997
time: late afternoon
sighting: I observed two objects hovering approx. 2000 ft. The first one was there, and the second one just
appeared next to the first one. Both objects were seen clearly by four people and the sky was clear. both objects
seemed to be made of a very shiny metal substance. There was a very bright light coming from one them. They were
shaped sort of like a cup upside down. We watched them for about three minutes before they just seemed to vanish
with no effort. This was a very strange sight to say the least. I can honestly say that none of us had ever seen
any aircraft like this before.
